Dear DYC Community,
I am honored to be the president of Da Yuan Circle. I sincerely appreciate Christine, and all of the members of the board and internal community, and recognize that to hold space for the next chapter, much work has been done behind the scenes. It has been refreshing and heartening to reconnect with many in the community body these last few months; many of whom have been very active in living, teaching, and writing, with a tremendous quality of integrity that speaks to view and a dialog with path.
To restate Christine’s sentiments, our friend Ming is dearly missed. It is my hope that the next phase of DYC will not only honor the comprehensive works we are fortunate to steward, but that the future brings fresh thinking, new and renewed alliances, and the natural growth that follows a period of swelling clouds, or “Waiting/Xu” Changing (Liu Ming, 2005).
Of note, we are in the process of establishing CEU’s for the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM). Our first program for DYC online, conditionally approved for CEU’s, is Healing Apprenticeship I. I am pleased to announce that I will be working closely with, Dr. Joe Davis, L.,AC. on our newly formed Education Committee. We are developing future courses for both professional and general interest tracks. In addition, DYC will also host guest contributors to our blog in the coming months. Check back for updates as we transition to the immeasurable potential of the Wood Dragon in 2024.
As the nights become longer and deeper, in this Water Rabbit year, DYC will continue to take stock of our good fortune; to thoughtfully integrate the extensive body of knowledge Liu Ming materialized in his lifetime.
More to follow…and please, sign up for our email list to get updates, announcements and invitations for future programs and opportunities.
Warmly,
Eréne Lejeune
